Quarantena – „I Miei Idoli“ Rocketman Records – A BlankTV World Premiere!

Artist Biography: Quarantena were born in 2005 in the North West of Italy, specifically in Mondovi, a small town of 22.000 people not far from of Turin. The passion for the punk-rock was the to „go further“.
Giro (vocals and guitar), Bruno (drums), Psyduck (guitar and vocals) and Albe (bass and vocals) have recently celebrated the tenth anniversary of activities, with a long series of live concerts. They played with Anti-Flag, Talco, Punkreas, Derozer, Los Fastidios, Pornoriviste. The most popular song of the band that is called “Ostalgia” (from “Tre”). It was inspired by the “ostalgie”: the homesickness of DDR in the East Germany after the discover that West and capitalism weren’t so good).
Their third album, recorded between May and June 2015 in Real Sound Studio in Milan by Ettore „Ette“ Gilardoni, was released in October 2015 for Rocketman Records. New influences were added to the punk-rock soul of the band: a pop songwriting vein, indie-rock guitars and hardcore outbursts.
After “L’epoca dei sogni” (“The Age of Dreams“, December 2007) and „Tre” (“Three“, January 2011), the band want to create a concept album: a gallery of characters. Manolis Glezos, a hero of the greek Resistance, recently elected in the European Parliament („La notte di Manolis“, “The night of Manolis”); an old man and a child who criticize speculative building („Altipiano bis“); an homeless in Paris and his sharp gaze on our society („Notre Dame de Lorette“); the young man who chases dreams in an America that doesn’t exist („Arturo Bandini“, taken by John Fante’s masterpiece “Ask the dust”).
These are just some of the stories in „My idols.“
