Artist Biography: DEFERENCE are a 5 piece metal band formed in Southampton in 2014, containing ex members of In Place Of Hope. Sculpting their sound on the likes of Architects, Oh Sleeper, Heart Of A Coward, While She Sleeps and many more, Deference are looking to make interesting music whilst keeping the energy and bringing the noise. Although Deference is relatively new to the scene, the members are anything but strangers to the UK live music and touring circuits, with members having toured the UK extensively with the likes of When We Were Wolves and The Valiant. Members have previously shared the stage with bands such as Napoleon, Violet, Evita, Giants and as Deference have already supported Our Hollow Our Home at their EP release show, Palm Reader, Lock & Key, Falling With Style and My Aim To Farewell. Their debut EP was recorded at Envy Studios in Portsmouth and is available for free download with a supporting video single release of “The Weathering”.
