Artist Biography: Late 2012 Electric Hellride released the debut album „Hate.Control.Manipulate“ via Mighty Music. The album received many fine reviews and followed the band’s performance at Wacken Open Air. The audio from that show was included as a bonus to the 2013-reissue of the out of stock „Charged“ (now called „Recharged“).
„Come Darkness, Comelight“ sees Electric Hellride evolving and changing the music into something more varied and diverse. This is also the primary reason for choosing to release an EP instead of a full length album. The band is working hard with the songwriting for the next album but wanted to make a little stop in the studio to try out some of the new stuff as well as to test the music on the fans and potential new fans.
The four tracks were recorded in Grizzly Sauer Studio with Emil Buus Sauer, who previously have worked the Helhorse’s critically acclaimed „Oh Death“ and Cerekloth’s evil master piece „In the Midst of Life…“. The EP presents „Master Inferno“ which is some of the most intense from the band’s groove metal universe. With „Grey Mass Depression“ the band is taking the heaviness of the music to a new and exciting level. The choruses of „Higher Profanity“ are showing a different melodic side of the band while „Phosphorus“ presents a more „classic Electric Hellride“ take on things but with an enhanced focus on catchy elements, cut to the bone.
2013 saw Electric Hellride embarking out on its first Danish tour with By the Patient and Aphyxion as well as support gigs for bands like Overkill, Mercenary and Essence. The main focus for 2014 is to present Electric Hellride more to Europe and keeping a steady pace on the songwriting for the bands sophomore full length album.
„Come Darkness, Come Light“ is available for free download on electrichellride.bandcamp.com but will also be released in limited stock on vinyl and cd via BigCartel.
About The Video: The video was shot outside a closed down hospital in Denmark and was filmed with handheld cameras and a camera on a drone.
The grey, boring concrete surroundings fit very well for the song that is about how the urban environment in a disturbed (concrete) town can limit your creative thoughts and lead to nothing exciting at all happening for you.
