Formed in 2005, Metal Safari has set their world standard musicianship by the first album „Return to my blood“. The deep, wide and unique extreme music sense within preponderant sound has an established reputation, not to mention their live performance- it’s widely viewed as a prominent prospect for being the greatest of Japanese extreme metal scene. Before now, Metal Safari have shared stage with many acts touring to Japan such as CALIBAN, THY WILL BE DONE, and numerous authoritative domestic bands like LOUDNESS、UNITED, VOLCANO, YOUTHQUAKE. They also performed at Taiwan ULTIMATE METAL FESTIVAL which has assembled all of the most important bands of Asia, including ChthoniC who have performed at LOUDPARK 2010.
The band went into Asia and Europe vigorously, too. They’ve appeared at the biggest open-air festival in Taiwan-the FORMOZ FESTIVAL and in China Modern Sky Festival- a huge non-genre outdoor festival which brings major and indie bands all together, and Metal Safari was headlined as the first-ever Japanese extreme band participated. The band has completed all these, and accomplished headline tours from country to country unstoppably. Their activities have gained many public attentions that makes the local press and magazines, TV stations of every country came to interview them.
In 2010, for reaching a higher level, Metal Safari have refined their former experiences and released the second self produced record „Prisoner“ over Japan successfully. At the same time, the first album „Return to my blood“ and its remix/ remastered version started download distribution. The band also had several release tour such like NAGOYA tour, OSAKA tour, and TOKYO one-man show. At this point, Metal Safari decided to have a Taiwan- Hong Kong release tour, and they’ve made a unequaled success.
In September 2011, Metal Safari have welcomed the new bassist Tomo and started their activity with the new line-up. Now, the magnificent stage performance and ferocious dramatic sound of Metal Safari are attaining to a whole new grade!
