Artist Biography: Established during the summer of 2014, Freight Bandits is a pop punk rock band from Kalamazoo that pays homage to 90’s and early 2K’s punk rock by writing and performing original music as well as preforming the occasional cover song. Freight Bandits offer a refreshing departure from the status quo by believing that having fun is the driving force of their purpose as musicians.
About The Video: The video was filmed on June 14, 2015 by Three Goats Moving Pictures. Directing and Editing by Andy Westra. Lighting and Cinematography by Dane Covey. Makeup by Ellie Hyde
The setting for the video is at a punk rock house party. Pee Wee Herman shows up to a house party where Freight Bandits is playing. Pee Wee drinks too much absinthe and starts seeing Jambi. Jambi then starts telling Pee Wee to start doing weird things at the party. Pee Wee wakes up the next day on the floor with regrets and hazy memories.
The title of the song lead to the theme of the video. The song title came from us not being very good at choosing song names, so we decided to go with a movie quote instead. „Tell ‘Em Large Sent Ya“! is a line from the movie Pee Wee’s Big Adventure.
